Country Drive?
It’s been a great summer with many wonderful sunny days in many parts of the world and we hope that your days are filled with fun and lots of sunshine. Our team members have many favorite summertime past times and when we asked, “What’s your favorite summertime moment?”
“The long summer drive” came up as one of the great themes. Eastern Ontario is vast with many rural areas where farmers and fishermen look hope the season will be fruitful. We’ve found that many people are anxious to do something on that staycation and a trip to our provincial parks is always a great summer pastime.
There are many things to experience when going for a long summer drive to the countryside. A small and local museum or historical landmark can always be found while taking in the wonderful agricultural accomplishments of our great Canadian farmers or your great local country farmers who work hard and have faith in their efforts on their farmlands.
Being blessed to live in a land with a lot of agriculture and greenery brings as many of us are fortunate to have experienced in Ontario truly gives us moments and places to find serenity and re-center every season.
When the vibrant daylight of summer begins to recede, we are still treated to the many beautiful colours of nature as the leaves will eventually fall. As we get closer to fall, our farmers are beginning to harvest crops for the winter months and it’s a wonderful sight to see as bales of hay are being collected for those winter months to come.
Many of our team members love to explore new places and we are encouraged to plan day trips over the summer weekends and on our vacation days regularly which we are told could be quite therapeutic and it often is!
On our local trips, our team members mentioned the charm of trying out a new small-town local dining experience or visiting a small /.olunique town festival. Driving with the windows down, and listening to something or absolutely nothing can be a thing of beauty and something we shouldn’t take for granted.
As you wind down and plan out the rest of your summer days, we hope that if it is possible, why not try to organize a short road trip with friends or family to a provincial or state park and just have a great day outdoors? Being in front of screens for our work is not always easy and sometimes that day in the park can provide a wonderful and impactful memory for you to reflect on this winter.
Don’t forget to take that wonderful selfie at sites you explore and always let your friends and family where you are headed to and when you’ll be back or checking in as that visit to a park may lead to an impromptu hike on trail and pack for your occasion. There can be lots of bugs in the woods!
Safety during any outing should always be a priority, dress and pack appropriately to have the best day possible! Being over-prepared for a day of awesomeness can never hurt!
We love the sunshine and we hope you do too, and remember to share your awesome pictures and summer experiences with the clan!
