Our best moments of 2021
With the year-end quickly approaching we had some time to reflect on our accomplishments and struggles as a team and individually recently and many good memories were made. 2021 was a crazy year for us all, 2020 was almost equally insane when the pandemic began, so we are all wondering, what’s next? What will 2022 bring? Optimism or Despair?
For all of us on the Beyond Badr Dev team, we like to end each year in a positive light and we take time to recognize our teammates and highlight some of the amazing things that we’ve managed to do and become. We share memories and highlights and it’s something that helps us to remember that each of us is a unique contributor with amazing abilities and talents, both professionally and personally.
This past year began with our team being uncertain about vaccination and vaccine accessibility for our respective age groups which are diverse. This also created stressful times for us as we wondered what to do, which to take, and we all researched every available option, most likely as did you. For so many of us around the world, as the days and months progressed, we all have inched closer and we have advanced our skills and abilities in some way as we all needed to gain knowledge in order to make the best choices for our health and that of our families.
Being on lock-down and having several restrictions placed on us in our respective countries has really taken its toll mentally, physically, emotionally, and often financially as prices soared for items in short supply in the early days of the Pandemic. We went from a society of just wanting a mask to one wanting next-generation gaming consoles pretty swiftly.
Today, just one year after new consoles launched, some of our team members have still not been able to acquire their own next-generation gaming systems due to supply shortages and extreme price gouging around the world. So, for a dev team with several gamers on it, it’s been brutal!
We have skilled up in so many other ways and we tried to consume beneficial content during our remote and isolated days. Time is something we can not have back so we do hope that you did not take the downtime that was imposed on us for granted either. Being in a remote situation and location can be hard for anyone and now we are beginning to slowly reconnect and gather with friends, family, and loved ones with caution this season after many months of not being able to do so.
To keep a great and positive year-end attitude we’d like to share a tip with you to find some inspiration to make your year-end a little more peaceful and less stressed out as this holiday season begins.
Go through the last year of your downloaded or stored pictures and find 1 positive moment or image that makes you smile from each month. Even if you had the worst month of your life or several, there must be some point in which you felt, calm, at ease, and positive. Hopefully and most likely, it has been captured.
Make a folder of your entire years best days and before the year is over make yourself your own mini-calendar of images to help you remember that no matter what your situation is, no matter how tough some days, weeks, or maybe entire months were, there were actually moments that you’ve found inspirational in some way. Take a few minutes each day to review these positive images before year-end.
As you review these pictures, think about a time, moment, event, person, or situation that was occurring when you took that fabulous shot and write down a small personal reflection of gratitude or a caption that summarizes that awesome time, place, or event.
Too often we focus on all of the bad moments and times and we all know that there were good times sprinkled into our daily lives. Everyone loves their own birthday so one of those pictures has most likely already been taken for you!
Our team believes that if you spend your last days of the year in reflection of good things, chances are you may just find yourself doing more of those awesome and good things in the days to come. We can’t predict the future, but we can assure you that you can craft better days and experiences with just a little insight and thoughts!
Whatever has happened to you is in the past and whatever will happen to you that is beneficial for you will depend on making good choices, so check your social media, check your phones, your computer, your gallery, and find those great memories for yourself. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and remember, good days can always be created.
We hope you have had a wonderful year and we hope that you’ve been checking out our awesome social media posts daily.
