Star Wars is still a Phenomenon!

Who is Grogu? The legend began in 1977 and NWES founder Kelvin Ali’s first movie experience was enjoying Star Wars: A New Hope on the big screen.

Kelvin recalls, “My family had just moved to the outskirts of the City of Toronto to a town called Malton. My elder sister and brother were in their teens and I was just 4 years old. It was the first time I was ever taken to the movies with my brother and sister and the memories of the emotional experience on that day are still swirling around in my head. The smells of the concessions and freshly popped popcorn are revisited every time I go to the cinema because of that first movie experience.

My most memorable moments on that day were the fascination of seeing the Sand People, the Cantina aliens, R2D2 & C3PO, and Luke’s awesome Land Speeder. But for a 4-year-old kid popcorn and an oversized soft drink ruled the day!”

Oh, how we all missed going to the movie theater during this pandemic! Let’s hope life gets back to normal for us all soon in the days to come.
